Paul Lennon marks 25 years of Baily Garner (Health & Safety) Ltd
25 years ago I joined the renowned multi-discipline practice of Baily Garner LLP as 1 of 3 in-house planning supervisors; little did I know that I would be writing this article 25 years on to celebrate this momentous milestone and reflect on the success of Baily Garner (Health & Safety) Ltd as an associated stand-alone specialist health and safety consultancy many years later.
The journey has been exciting and I’ve relished every moment because anyone who knows me, knows that I love what I do! I’ve met some great people with whom I still keep in contact to this day.
I’m older and wiser (definitely less hair!) and not as youthful now as I was then however, my enthusiasm and passion for what we do has never diminished over the years. My career in health and safety has certainly been a long road with a few challenges along the way but that’s what keeps our sector interesting and fulfilling.
I am a great believer in adding value to everything we do but at the same time, be practical and find ways to resolve, not create issues, which is what health and safety should be all about. My philosophy and mantra is to inspire a safer environment and to influence change through innovation which we strive to continue to achieve across all our projects.
I hope the last 25 years is testament to this ethos and evident in our success which has led to our office move to new premises in Shad Thames, closer to some of our core clients established over the same period.
I am committed to ensure we continue to deliver friendly, proactive and effective health and safety services across a diverse construction sector and I am extremely proud of our team who deliver specialist CDM risk management advice across a broad range of industries UK wide.
I hope that once we get back to some sort of normality we are able to show you around our new socially distanced office located just 10 minutes’ walk from London Bridge station.
